So I finally have something to update on... sadly. Perhaps I can lead in with my current facebook status... I am "too angry to study (thievery sucks)."
Now that I've come to update, I realise that writing about this is almost like experiencing it all over again which isn't the most fun thing... Suffice it to say that my new purse (which my dad gave me for my birthday very recently) was stolen at work on Monday (first day in a new clinic in the children's hospital). In it... wallet, cell phone, palm pilot, NEW ipod, car keys..
I've never had anything stolen before... I mean, I've lost my wallet or dropped a credit card in a restaurant or something but it was always my own fault. You could argue that this was my own doing too -- shouldn't have left my bag in an unlocked office. You would think tho, that a private office at the back of a clinic where the patients are mostly under 10 would be safe! Not so...
They're just possessions and perhaps they shouldn't matter so much to me -- but it's almost less about the actual items and more about the hassle of this all. Very "ma-fan" indeed! It's provided a fantastic excuse for me not to study -- filing police reports and phoning credit companies to make sure I'm not the victim of fraud and such. Did I mention I have an exam is in 10 days?
Hyperparanoid -- that's how I feel now. I'm doing ridiculous things... such as not wearing a jacket today because I don't feel like there is a safe place to put it... and I plan to carry my school bag with me today into every exam room. So what if patients think I'm crazy. Heh.
